When he was young, Bryan Setzer fomented a major rockabilly revival with his ’80s band The Stray Cats. Then he turned his attention to the swing band sounds of the 1940s.

The Brian Setzer Orchestra has been touring casinos and theaters for decades now. Along the way, the orchestra developed a holiday seasonal vibe — and why not? Sinatra and the other Rat Packers all recorded Christmas albums, didn’t they?

The orchestra brings its 12th Annual Christmas Rocks! Tour to Foxwoods Friday, Nov. 27, in the Grand Theater at Fox Tower, 350 Trolley Line Blvd., Mashantucket.

In contrast to the oversized BSO ensemble, opening act Low Volts is a single guy, Tim Lowman, who sings original roots-rock songs while playing guitar, kick drum and flute. Tickets are $20 to $40. foxwoods.com.
