The eighth annual, two-day-long Blues, Views & BBQ Festival in Westport turns several shades of blue (including funk and soul) Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 5 and 6, at two locations.

The fest’s Jesup Jam — local and regional acts plus a family-friendly festival atmosphere of games, food and a marketplace — is held on the ground of Westport Public Library, 20 Jesup Road, Westport, with music on Saturday from Dan Stevens, Randy Brody, Jake Kulak and the Lowdown, Boogie Boys, Funky Dawgz Band and Jim Malone and the Piney Hearts. (Sunday’s entertainment is a four-hour School of Rock jam and MC Matt Winthrop). Tickets for the Jesup Jam are $15 at the gate, $10 in advance.

Big-draw national blues acts can be found at Levitt Pavilion, 40 Jesup Road. Saturday’s mainstage acts at the Levitt include Relative Souls, Billy Iuso and Restless Natives, Honey Island Swamp Band, Dumpstaphunk (featuring vocalist Ivan Neville), Swedish singer and guitar slinger Anders Osborne (pictured), and the funk/soul outfit Robert Randolph and the Family Band. Sunday brings School of Rock, Mark Naftalin, Alexis P. Suter, Sugar Blue, Ronnie Baker Brooks, Matt Schofield and Joe Louis Walker. Tickets are $60 for Saturday, $40 for Sunday and both days for $85 (or $45/$30/$70 in advance).

The festival also features a barbecue competition on Saturday, food and craft beer vendors, kids’ activities, chef demos and more. Information: bluesviewsbbq.com
