Beloved of Bugs Bunny fans, the jolly composer Gioachino Rossini’s comic opera “The Barber of Seville” is an ideal choice for the peppy, ever-on-the-move Connecticut Lyric Opera troupe.

After opening Feb. 13 at Trinity-on-Main in New Britain, the production moves this week to the Naugatuck Valley Community College Fine Arts Center (750 Chase Parkway, Waterbury) on Friday, Feb. 20, at 7:30 p.m.; and Infinity Music Hall (32 Front St., Hartford) on Sunday, Feb. 22, at 7 p.m. There’ll be two further performances in March in New London and Middletown.

The lead roles have been double-cast for this demanding show: In Waterbury, Christopher Lucier sings Count Almaviva and Allison Lindsay is Rosina. In Hartford, it’ll be Spencer Hamilton and Nadia Aguilar. Performers who’ll be both places are Luke Scott (Basilio), Jimi James (Bartolo), Dean Murphy (Figaro), Kerry Gotschall (Berta) and Hartley Horn (Fiorello). Ticket prices vary.
