Black Sabbath's The End tour, presumably its last, arrives at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville on Saturday, Aug. 27, at 7:30 p.m., according to a press release.
The band -- original members Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler, along with Rage Against the Machine drummer Brad Wilk, who replaces Bill Ward -- recently added new North American dates to its 2016 world tour, which kicks off on Jan. 20 in Omaha, Neb. The band also tours Australia, New Zealand and Europe before calling it quits.
Black Sabbath last performed in Connecticut in August of 2013; I spoke to Iommi around that time.
Tickets ($94-$144) for the Mohegan Sun show are on sale now through ticketmaster.com.
