Wesleyan University College of Film, 301 Washington Terrace on the campus in Middletown, presents a three-film series of movies chosen and hosted by Middletown Mayor Daniel T. Drew. The movies will be on three consecutive Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. The titles and dates are:

>>Aug. 22: “The Maltese Falcon,” the 1941 film noir starring Humphrey Bogart about people searching for a mysterious statuette.

>>Aug. 29: “Angels with Dirty Faces,” the 1938 James Cagney thriller about a gangster trying to corrupt street kids.

>>Sept. 5: “The Usual Suspects,” the 1995 thriller about a group of criminals, and the mysterious crime lord they are looking for.

Admission is free, but a donation of $5 to benefit the Buttonwood Tree is requested. wesleyan.edu/filmstudies.
