Wesleyan’s ‘Hollywood Icon’ Film Series Features Liz Taylor

Every July, a free film series is held at Wesleyan University to pay homage to a classic Hollywood star. This year’s selection in the “Hollywood Icons” series is Elizabeth Taylor.

Admission is free to all the screenings, which are held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays at the Center for Film Studies at 301 Washington Terrace on the university campus in Middletown. All screenings will be introduced by Marc Longenecker, the programming and technical director.

Here’s the lineup: July 5: “National Velvet”; July 12: “Father of the Bride”; July 19: “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof”; July 26: “Giant.” No food or drink allowed in the cinema.
