Warren Miller's 'Line of Descent' At Bushnell

Warren Miller time is upon us. The film production company's annual ski-adventure movie makes its debut in Connecticut this week.

"Line of Descent" takes place in Squaw Valley, Jackson Hole, Norway, the French Alps, British Columbia, Steamboat Springs, New Zealand and other skiing venues.

It will be shown Friday, Nov. 3, at 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. at Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts, 166 Capitol Ave. in Hartford. Tickets can be bought at Suburban Sport, the Bushnell box office and the Warren Miller group tickets office (800-523-7117).

Admission is $23 and includes free lift tickets to Sugarbush, Gore Mountain and Smuggler's Notch; lift ticket discounts for Killington, Ski Sundown and Steamboat; two free days of spring skiing in Jackson Hole; and a service coupon at Suburban Ski and Bike.

A free pre-show ski party starting at 4:30 p.m. will include a Connecticut craft beer showcase, vintage Warren Miller films, a kids' activity zone, a retro ski display, ice carving, live music and other activities.

"Line of Descent" also will be shown on Friday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m. at Palace Theatre, 61 Atlantic St. in Stamford; Admission is $20.50 and includes free lift tickets to Sugarbush, Windham, Steamboat and Smuggler's Notch; two free days of spring skiing in Jackson Hole; and a service coupon at Suburban Ski and Bike.

It also will be shown on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 10 and 11, at 7 p.m. at Mohawk Montain Lodge, 46 Great Hollow Road in Cornwall; and Thursday, Dec. 7, at 7 p.m. at Old Lyme High School, 69 Lyme St.
