“West Side Story” isn’t the only cinematic vision of New York street gangs in the 1960s. There’s also “The Wanderers.”

Philip Kaufman’s 1979 classic, adapted from Richard Price’s novel, tells the story of an Italian gang that challenges a rival street gang to a football game. It stars Ken Wahl, Karen Allen and Olympia Dukakis and features a soundtrack of classic ’60s tunes.

“The Wanderers” will be shown Sunday to Wednesday, Nov. 20 to 23, at Cinestudio, 300 Summit St., on the campus of Trinity College in Hartford. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. daily with a 5 p.m. matinee on Sunday. Admission is $10, $8 for students and seniors. cinestudio.org.
