It seems that more terrible Christmas movies are made than good ones. In 1972, the terrible-holiday-film canon was graced with “Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny.” On Thursday, Dec. 3 and again on Dec. 15, RiffTrax will do its trademark riffing on the Yuletide bomb.

“Ice Cream Bunny” tells the story of Santa Claus crash-landing in Florida and getting his sleigh stuck on the beach. The Ice Cream Bunny comes to the rescue. In the meantime, Santa goes off-topic and starts telling the story of “Thumbelina.”

“The Crappening” begins at 8 p.m. at Cinemark Buckland Hills in Manchester, Cinemark Enfield, Cinemark North Haven, Carmike Bloomfield, Branford 12, Regal Brass Mill 12 in Waterbury, Cinerom Torrington, AMC Danbury, Carmike Lisbon, Connecticut Post 14 in Milford and Stonington 10. It also will be shown at West Springfield 15 in Massachusetts.

It also will be shown Dec. 15 at 7:30 p.m. at all of the above locations. Admission is $12.50. fathomevents.com.
