Hartford Stage just ended its run of “Rear Window” starring with Kevin Bacon. Now Cinestudio, on the campus of Trinity College in Hartford, is showing the Alfred Hitchcock movie made from the same source material.

“Rear Window,” from 1954, tells the story of a housebound man (James Stewart) who is convinced he has seen a murder. It also stars Grace Kelly, Thelma Ritter and Raymond Burr. It will be shown Thursday to Saturday, Nov. 26 to 28, at 7:30 p.m., with a 2:30 p.m. matinee on Saturday.

Also at Cinestudio this week is an “encore” (recorded) performance of the National Theatre’s London stage production of “Hamlet” starring Benedict Cumberbatch. It will bw shown Sunday, Nov. 29, at 1 p.m.

The week will end with a screening on Wednesday, Dec. 2, of “Beyond Measure,” a documentary that encourages parents to throw off the “trap of achievement” and reject test-based education.

Admission is free to “Beyond Measure.” Admission to the other films is $9, $7 seniors, students and Friends of Cinestudio. Cinestudio is at 300 Summit St. cinestudio.org.
