“Quatsch” is the German word for nonsense. A film showing Aug. 23 at Bethel Cinema tells the story of a particular kind of nonsense.

“Quatsch” is about the village of Bollersville, an average small town containing nothing extraordinary, except for the Coati Gang. The gang is made up of six preschoolers with a tude, and their pet coati, a ring-tailed, raccoon-like mammal that causes chaos wherever it goes. When outside forces threaten to separate the children from their doting grandparents, they and their coati take matters into their own hands, and paws.

The movie will be shown at 7 p.m. at the theater at 269 Greenwood Ave. Admission is $10.50, $9 for seniors. bethelcinema.com.
