Real Art Ways will host a one-time-only screening of a documentary on Earth Day, April 22.

“Planetary” interviews philosophers, Buddhist leaders, activists and environmentalists to discuss the sickness of the planet, both environmental and spiritual, and what can be done to reverse course toward a healthier future.

It will be shown at 7 p.m., and will be followed by a panel discussion about faith, morality and climate change.

On Wednesday, April 23, the arts space at 56 Arbor St. in Hartford will continue its Science on Screen series with a special screening of the drama “White God.” (The film opens for a weeklong run on Friday, April 17, but the April 23 showing is the only Science on Screen event.) The Hungarian film is about the extraordinary relationship between a young woman and the dogs in her town.

The screening, at 7 p.m., will be preceded by a talk by Laurie R. Santos, the director of Yale’s Comparative Cognition Laboratory and the new Canine Cognition Center at Yale. Information: realartways.org
