Two music-themed movies showing in one-night-only screenings this week focus on two very different members of the music scene.

At the Bow Tie Palace 17 in Hartford, “As I AM: The Life and Times of DJ AM” will be shown on Thursday, June 9, at 8 p.m. The documentary about the brief life of mashup pioneer Adam Goldstein features interviews with, among others, MarkRonson, DJJazzyJeff, MixMasterMike, SteveAoki and Dr. DrewPinsky,and the soundtrack has music by, among others, Daft Punk, Justice, Outkast, Elton John, The Doors, The Ramones, Blondie, Black Sabbath, Talking Heads and GrandmasterFlashandtheFuriousFive.

Showtime is 8 p.m. Admission is $11.25, $8.25 child and senior. djamdoc.com.

The second film, “Mötley Crüe: The End,” was filmed at Los Angeles’ Staples Center on Dec. 31, 2015. It was the last stop on the veteran band’s final tour, and featured songs such as “Kickstart My Heart,” “Girls, Girls, Girls” and “Home Sweet Home.”
