Martial arts, rock ‘n’ roll, ninjas, beach bunnies, motorcycle gangs, the drug trade: “The Miami Connection” has it all.

It also has bad reviews. That’s all the guys from RiffTrax need to hear. RiffTrax is the bad movie-riffing comedy troupe made up of three guys from “Mystery Science Theater 3000” — Michael J. Nelson, Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett. They find bad movies, rank on them nonstop and, in so doing, turn them into good movies.

“The Miami Connection,” from 1987, tells the story of a martial-arts rock band called Dragon Sound. The guys are fed up with the drug trade in Florida, so they decide to take it on on their own.

“The Crappening” will take place Thursday, Oct. 1, at 8 p.m., and Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 7:30 p.m., at Cinerom Torrington, AMC Danbury 16, Carmike Lisbon in Jewett City, Cinemark Buckland Hills in Manchester, Connecticut Post 14 in Milford, Cinemark North Haven, Stonington 10, Cinemark Enfield, AMC Brass Mill 12 in Waterbury, Branford 12 and Carmike Bloomfield.

A repeat will be shown Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 7:30 p.m. at all of the above theaters except Manchester, North Haven and Enfield.
