The 17th annual Manhattan Short Film Festival will be shown worldwide this week in about 250 theaters in six continents. In Connecticut, it will be shown in four venues. At the festival, audience members see several short films and then vote on their favorites. The winner will be announced Oct. 6.

The Connecticut venues and showtimes are Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford, Thursday, Oct. 2, at 8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 4, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 5, at 2 p.m.; The Bijou Theatre, 275 Fairfield Ave. in Bridgeport, on Saturday, Oct. 4, at 8 p.m.; Garde Arts Center, 325 State St. in New London, Sunday, Oct. 5, at 3 p.m.; and Bank Street Theater, 46 Bank St. in New Milford, on Sunday, Oct. 5, at noon.

This year’s lineup includes “97%” from the Netherlands; “Crime: The Animated Series” from the United States; “On the Bridge” from England; “Shift” from Australia; “The Fall” from Norway; “On/Off” from France; “La Carnada” from Mexico; “Mend and Make Do” from England; “The Bravest, the Boldest” from the United States; and “Rhino Full Throttle” from Germany.
