The Wadsworth Atheneum will close out its 2015 film program with a classic family film that has Hartford ties.

“Little Women,” made in 1933, starred Hartford’s own Katharine Hepburn as Jo March, the most headstrong of four sisters whose father is away during the Civil War. The ladies and their mother struggle to make ends meet and find romance and heartbreak along the way.

The movie, which also stars Joan Bennett as Amy, Jean Parker as Beth, Frances Dee as Meg and Spring Byington as Marmee, will be shown Sunday, Dec. 27, at 2 p.m. at the art museum at 600 Main St. in Hartford. Admission is free. thewadsworth.org.
