'Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind' At Cinestudio

Hayao Miyazaki is the most acclaimed of all Japanese directors of animated fantasies, with classics such as "Howl's Moving Castle," "The Wind Rises," "Spirited Away," "Princess Mononoke," "Kiki's Delivery Service" and "My Neighbor Totoro." On March 24, Cinestudio, on the campus of Trinity College in Hartford, will show one of his earliest films.

"Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind" tells the story of a princess living in a future apocalyptic world. She tries to stop one kingdom from engaging in a war with another, because she is afraid of the destruction that would result.

"Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind" will be shown at 10:30 p.m. in the theater at 300 Summit St. Admission is $10, $8 seniors and students.
