Manchester Community College will kick off its annual springtime international film series on Feb. 19, and it will run once a month until the end of the semester. All films will be shown on Fridays at 7 p.m. at the SBM Charitable Foundation Auditorium and admission is free and open to the public.

The opening film on Feb. 19 is “Paulette,” a comedy about a poor elderly woman who takes up marijuana selling to make ends meet. It is in French with subtitles and is rated R.

On March 11, the movie is “Creed,” the latest “Rocky” movie starring Sylvester Stallone, who is now training a younger fighter, Apollo Creed’s son. It is rated PG-13.

On April 15, the Brazilian film “The Second Mother” will be shown. It tells the story of a woman who left her daughter to be raised by relatives so she could be a live-in nanny to a wealthy family. It is in Portuguese with subtitles.

The closing film is “Mustang,” on May 27. The Turkish-language Oscar-nominated film is about five rambunctious sisters whose family wants to force them all into marriages. It is rated PG-13.
