The 2018-19 season of Met Live in HD, the ongoing series of live and recorded performances by New York’s Metropolitan Opera, begins on Oct. 6.

Among the offerings is the Met directing debut of Hartford Stage artistic director Darko Tresnjak: Saint-Saëns’ “Samson et Dalila,” showing in October.

Connecticut multiplexes participating in Met Live in HD include Cinemark Buckland Hills, 99 RedStone Road in Manchester; AMC Bloomfield, 863 Park Ave.; Metro Movies 12, 140 Main St. in Middletown; Cinemark Enfield, 90 Elm St.; Regal Brass Mill Stadium 12, 495 Union St. in Waterbury; Cinemark North Haven, 550 Universal Drive; Regal Branford 12, 325 E. Main St.; Connecticut Post 14, 1201 Boston Post Road in Milford; AMC Danbury 16, 61 Eagle Road; and Regal Stonington 10, 85 Voluntown Road.

Unless otherwise noted, all live shows are on Saturdays at 12:55 p.m. and all recorded shows on Wednesdays at 1 and 6:30 p.m. Prices vary by theater. Tickets can be bought at fathomevents.com.

The operas will also be shown at Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center, 300 Main St. in Old Saybrook; Ridgefield Playhouse, 80 East Ridge; and at Quick Center for the Arts at Fairfield University. “Aida,” Verdi’s story of the Nubian princess in love with a betrothed man, starring Anna Netrebko. Oct. 6 (live) and Oct. 10 (recorded).

“Samson et Dalila,” Saint-Saëns’ opera based on the Bible story and starring Elīna Garanča and Roberto Alagna. Directed by Darko Tresnjak. Oct. 20 (live) and Oct. 24 (recorded).

“La Fanciulla del West,” Puccini’s Wild West opera, starring Eva-Maria Westbroek and Jonas Kaufmann. Oct. 27 (live) and Oct. 31 (recorded).

“Marnie,” Nico Muhly and Nicholas Wright’s adaptation of Winston Graham’s novel, which was the basis for a Hitchcock film, with Isabel Leonard and Christopher Maltman. Nov. 10 (live) and Nov. 14 (recorded).

“The Magic Flute,” Mozart’s fable, starring Matthew Polenzani, Nathan Gunn and René Pape. A one-time-only screening, recorded in 2006, on Saturday, Dec. 1, at 12:55 p.m.

“La Traviata,” Verdi’s story of a doomed woman and her lover, starring Diana Damrau and Juan Diego Flórez. Dec. 15 (live) and Dec. 19 (recorded).

“Adriana Lecouvreur,” Francesco Cilea’s story of an actress in love with a soldier, starring Anna Netrebko and Piotr Beczała. Jan. 12 (live) and Jan. 16 (recorded).

“Carmen,” Bizet’s story of a seductress and the men in her life, with Clémentine Margaine and Roberto Alagna. Feb. 1 (live) and Feb. 6 (recorded). Additional encore on Saturday, Feb. 9, at 12:55 p.m.

“La Fille du Regiment,” Donizetti’s comic opera, starring Pretty Yende and Javier Camarena. March 2 (live) and March 6 (recorded).

“Die Walkure,” the second in Wagner’s Ring cycle, starring Christine Goerke, Stuart Skelton and Eva-Maria Westbroek. March 30 (live, at noon) and April 3 (recorded, at 12:30 and 6:30 p.m.).

“Dialogues des Carmelites,” Poulenc’s story of faith and martyrdom, starring Isabel Leonard and Karita Mattila. May 11 (live, at noon) and May 15.
