The 2018-19 season of Met Live in HD, the ongoing series of live and recorded performances by New York’s Metropolitan Opera, begins on Oct. 6.
Among the offerings is the Met directing debut of Hartford Stage artistic director Darko Tresnjak: Saint-Saëns’ “Samson et Dalila,” showing in October.

Main St.; Connecticut Post 14, 1201 Boston Post Road in Milford; AMC Danbury 16, 61 Eagle Road; and Regal Stonington 10, 85 Voluntown Road.
Unless otherwise noted, all live shows are on Saturdays at 12:55 p.m. and all recorded shows on Wednesdays at 1 and 6:30 p.m. Prices vary by theater. Tickets can be bought at fathomevents.com.
The operas will also be shown at Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center, 300 Main St. in Old Saybrook; Ridgefield Playhouse, 80 East Ridge; and at Quick Center for the Arts at Fairfield University. “The Magic Flute,” Mozart’s fable, starring Matthew Polenzani, Nathan Gunn and René Pape. A one-time-only screening, recorded in 2006, on Saturday, Dec. 1, at 12:55 p.m.
