In the Middle East, nothing is more unchanging than conflict, but many in that region are looking forward to a more harmonious future. On Thursday, June 1, Real Art Ways in Hartford is holding a one-time-only screening of a documentary about a group of would-be peacemakers.

“Disturbing the Peace” tells the story of former Israeli soldiers and former Palestinian fighters who unite to alter the narrative in their strife-torn homelands. The film’s director, Stephen Apkon, will be present at the 7 p.m. screening and will do a Q&A after.

Admission is $11, $7 seniors and students, $5 members, $4.50 senior and student members. realartways.org.
