The Hagaman Memorial Library in East Haven will show a film about Alzheimer's disease on Saturday, Oct. 7, then follow it up with a panel discussion about how to care for loved ones with dementia.
The drama "His Neighbor Phil" stars Stephanie Zimbalist ("Remington Steele") as a woman with early-onset Alzheimer's. As her husband struggles to care for her, her condition affects her entire community.
After the film, a panel discussion and Q&A will be held, sponsored by Synergy HomeCare. Showtime is 2 p.m. at the library at 227 Main St. Admission is free. Register at 203-468-3890.
