“Grateful Dead Meet-Up At The Movies,” the eighth annual screening of a historic concert by the legendary band, is screened in theaters nationwide, including five in Connecticut, on Wednesday, Aug. 1, at 7 p.m.

This year, the meetup will feature the Dead’s July 7, 1989 show at John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia. It was the final concert at that venue.

The band at that time included guitarist Jerry Garcia, drummers Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann, bassist Phil Lesh, keyboardist Brent Mydland and guitarist Bob Weir.

The concert movie is shown at Cinemark Enfield, inside the mall; Regal Brass Mill 12, 495 Union St. in Waterbury; Regal Branfod 12, 325 E. Main St.; Regal Stonington 10, 85 Voluntown Road in Pawcatuck; and AMC Danbury 16, 61 Eagle Road. Prices vary by venue. fathomevents.com.
