Iranian documentaries are in the spotlight at Cinestudio on the campus of Trinity College in Hartford: On Oct. 1, three films will be shown, followed by a presentation by Persheng Sadegh-Vaziri, a filmmaker and 1981 Trinity graduate.
The program will begin at 7:30 p.m. with “Road to Kurdistan,” by Sadegh-Vaziri, which focuses on her own family, traveling to Kurdistan to explore their heritage.
“Unwelcome in Tehran” follows, a story about how a single woman can live independently in Iran.
The program closes with “Dream of Silk,” which interviews schoolgirls in Iran. Admission is free. The cinema is at 300 Summit St. www.cinestudio.org.
