Central Connecticut State University Alumni Association is holding a classic film series across three Friday afternoons, with movies from the ’30s and ’40s.

Showtimes will be at 2 p.m. in Torp Theatre in Davidson Hall on the CCSU campus at 1615 Stanley St. in New Britain. Admission is free. Here’s the lineup:

Feb. 5: “Bhowani Junction,” a 1956 drama about a half-British, half-Indian woman dealing with the British pullout from India in 1947. It stars Ava Gardner and Stewart Granger.

March 11: “Two Smart People,” a 1946 film noir starring Lucille Ball about a criminal on the way to jail falling for the con woman who wants his loot.

April 8: “Shanghai Express,” a 1932 Marlene Dietrich romance about a shady woman who reconnects with a lost love.
