An Italian classic about rural poverty will be shown Feb. 5 to 8 at Cinestudio in Hartford.

“Tree of Wooden Clogs” tells the story of four farming families living in the Italian countryside during the turn of the 20th century. All are poor and must turn over a majority of their farms’ output to their landlord. One of the patriarchs makes a decision that will have a lasting impact on his family.

Ermanno Olmi’s three-hour historical drama will be shown at 7:30 p.m. each day at the theater on the campus of Trinity College. Admission is $10, $8 seniors and students.

Also at Cinestudio is the National Theatre live presentation of “Amadeus,” Peter Shaffer’s classic play about Mozart and his rival, Salieri. It will be shown Feb. 2 at 2 p.m. The Bolshoi Ballet’s recorded presentation of “Swan Lake” will be shown Feb. 5 at 12:55 p.m. cinestudio.org.
