The film being shown Nov. 12 to 15 at Cinestudio, on the campus of Trinity College in Hartford, is a film-lover’s dream.

In “My Journey Through French Cinema,” veteran director Bertrand Tavernier (“Coup de Torchon,” “A Sunday in the Country”) rambles through the history of his country’s movie legacy, discussing his favorite films, actors and directors. The film includes archive footage featuring such legends as Jean-Paul Belmondo, Eddie Constantine, Jean Gabin, Jean-Luc Godard, Jean-Pierre Léaud and many others.

The documentary will be shown at 7:30 p.m. each day, with a 2:30 p.m. matinee on Sunday.

Also this week, Cinestudio continues its monthly Second Thursdays series of LGBT-themed films with “Professor Martson and the Wonder Women.” The biopic tells the story of the man who created the comic book. It will be shown Nov. 9 at 7:30 p.m.

Admission to each film is $10, $8 seniors and students, $7 Friends of Cinestudio. The campus is at 300 Summit St. cinestudio.org.
