In the early 1980s, the Puccio family — a mother, father, three sons and two daughters — of Buenos Aires were convicted of three murders and four kidnappings. The odd story of a family united in crime was made into a movie titled “El Clan.”

The dramatic thriller got rave reviews and huge box office in its native Argentina. Its director, Pablo Trapero, won the Silver Lion at the 2015 Venice Film Festival. It will be shown Sunday to Tuesday, April 24 to 26, at Cinestudio, at 300 Summit St. at Trinity College in Hartford. Weekday showings are at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday showing at 2:30 p.m. Admission is $9, $7 seniors and students. cinestudio.org.
