Cinestudio, at 300 Summit St. on the campus of Trinity College in Hartford, this week will show a documentary about a film icon.

“Ingrid Bergman: In Her Own Words” features archive footage and commentary from Bergman’s friends and relatives and film historians about the legacy and impact of the legendary Swedish actress.

Jeanine Basinger, the founder of the film studies program at Wesleyan University in Middletown, is one of the commentators in the movie. Others are Bergman’s children Isabella Rossellini, Isotta Rossellini and Pia Lindstrom and fellow film legends Liv Ullmann and Sigourney Weaver. Current hot Swedish star Alicia Vikander narrates the film as the voice of Bergman.

Showtime is Sunday to Wednesday, Jan. 17 to 20, at 7:30 p.m., with a 2:30 p.m. matinee on Sunday.

Also at Cinestudio this week is the latest in the OutFilmCT series of Second Thursday LGBT-themed films. “Tattoo” tells the story of the underground gay nightclub scene in 1970s Brazil. Showtime is Thursday, Jan. 14, at 7:30 p.m. cinestudio.org.
