On Wednesday, Aug. 27, Bijou Theatre, 275 Fairfield Ave., in Bridgeport, will host a one-night-only showcase of 12 short films from the Connecticut edition of the 48 Hour Film Project, a filmmaking spree that was held in July.

The filmmaking competition, which has branches all over the world, has teams write, shoot, edit, score and complete a short film in just two days.

The titles to be shown, and the filmmaking teams that made them, are: “Black” by Ben Radio Productions, “CSH 159” by Plan R Films, “Crooked” by Rushed Productions, “Do No Harm” by Everyone Leaves New Haven, “The Jhort Murders” by Parlor head Films, “Little Hollandaise” by Classic Stanley, “Past Poets Now,” by Good Natured Dog Productions, “Plastic Love” by BRAAAINS, “The Price You Pay” by Borrowed Time Media and “Ties” by Dutch Elm Disease.
