A carefree weekend for a bride-to-be and her best buddies turns into a scary mystery in “The 1 Closest 2 U.”
The drama tells the story of LeLe, who is set to marry her true love, Mitch. She and her closest girlfriends go to a lake house for a fun girls’ weekend, but one by one the women begin to disappear.
Will Coggins’ movie will be shown on Saturday, July 9, at 8 p.m. at the Palace Theater, 100 E. Main St. in Waterbury. A red-carpet entrance will precede the screening. After the show, Coggins will do a Q&A and a DJ will play music. Admission is $24. palacetheaterct.org.
