Flagger Force employee Keith Cunningham monitors traffic along Martin Luther King Drive as contractors from New Cumberland based Susquehanna Valley Construction Corporation install falcon deterrent screening under the 8th Street Bridge in Allentown. Eyer said the screening was being installed to prevent falcons from nesting under the bridge in advance of planned refurbishment. The $20 million overhaul of the Albertus Meyers Bridge, which carries Eighth Street high across Little Lehigh Creek and Martin Luther King Drive, could limit or shut down a similar traffic link beginning as early as July 2014.
