Goya's Los Caprichos Series

The Caprichos, Plate 61, They have flown, 2013, etching and aquatint by Emily Lombardo is on display in Fransisco Goya: Los Caprichos at the Allentown Art Museum through Sept. 7. The contemporary artist adapted the works to her own end by incorporating modern day people and themes. Plate 61 depicts actress Lindsay Lohan and the subtitle says This poor girl is being used as an ornament for everyone's use. She has been groomed for public consumption. When they are done with her, she will be gone.
