This diorama in the museum depicts the life-like, full-sized figures of Lt. Colonel George F. McFarland, his wife and two children. Dragged into the north door of the seminary as Confederates raced in the south door, McFarland had to have one of his legs amputated. His wife and children traveled to Gettysburg and Mrs. McFarland cared for him daily. He was the last of 600 soldiers to leave the seminary on Sept. 16.
