PICTURES: 4 badly hurt in icy I-78 crash in Upper Macungie

A 60-year-old Ohio man was killed during Wednesday's winter storm attempting to help another motorist involved in an accident on Interstate 78 near Allentown when another vehicle spun out of control on the icy highway and hit him. Richard Helms of Cincinnati was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest after being taken by ambulance from the 9:45 p.m. accident, which just west of Allentown in Upper Macungie Township.
