Do you love chocolate? If so, head to Quakertown, where you’ll find scrumptious handmade chocolates freshly prepared by a French-trained pastry chef at Moussey Moose Chocolates, a new bakery that opened iearlier this month.
Brothers Daniel and Joseph Held own the new shop that is more like a patisserie than a bakery. It's located at 315 W. Broad St., at the spot formerly occupied by Quaker Village Bakery in the Quaker Village Shopping Center (next to Dominick’s Pizza).
Daniel, the French-trained pastry chef of the team, fills the pastry cases with his creations each day. Joseph handles the business end of the venture.
In addition to chocolates, Moussey Moose has French pastries, cookies, cakes, tarts and more, and it serves lattes and other gourmet coffee drinks. Cakes include everything from wedding cakes to those for a baby’s first birthday. The Held brothers will do their best to satisfy requests. They’ve even made a cake that looks like a race car.
You'll also find gourmet coffee drinks to take out or enjoy there.
Moussey Moose Chocolates is open 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday. To place an order, call 215-529-7181.
