“We’re looking forward to an exciting springtime at Chester Forest Estates,” says builder Alan Williams. “We’re offering three new energy-efficient home plans and always enjoy showing new buyers how they can customize.”
The largest of the new plan offerings is currently sited for 167 Pinnacle Lane. This four-bedroom, three-and-a-half bath contemporary offers 2,237 square feet of first-floor living space including a first-floor master suite with walk-in closet, vaulted ceiling family room with stone fireplace and an eat-in kitchen adorned with granite and cherry wood.
Three more bedrooms and an open loft area can be found on the second floor, adding another 1,000 square feet to the total size of the home. Multiple gables add dimension to the façade that is topped with a hip roof and comfortably sited on a 2.32-acre wooded lot.
Slightly more modest in size at 2,800 square feet is another contemporary home plan with a hip roof. It offers a 15-foot by 17-foot first-floor master suite and a 17-foot by 18-foot great room with fireplace. The kitchen is centrally located between the breakfast nook and formal dining area with the master suite tucked away in a private corner adjacent to the great room. Upstairs are three more bedrooms and two full baths. Like the plan for 167 Pinnacle Lane, there is a three-car side-loaded garage.
The third home plan delivers many of the desirable features of the first two plans in 2,586 square feet of living space as a contemporary Cape-style design. The 15-foot by 18-foot first-floor master suite also has a walk-in closet and is conveniently located near the 15-foot by 22-foot living area with fireplace. The open floor plan connects the 14-foot by 15-foot formal dining area to the living room providing the feel of a great open living space.
Also on the first floor is a 12-foot by 13-foot guest bedroom with private entry to a full bath by the entrance to the home. Both upstairs bedrooms have a dormer window view toward the front yard and each has private access to the shared full bath.
The home sited for 167 Pinnacle Lane is priced at $799,900. The other two new home plans will be priced on the lot of the homebuyer’s choice.
There are seven lots to choose from at Chester Forest Estates varying in size from two to eight acres with privacy space between home sites ranging from 100 to 500 feet. “In the summertime you won’t even know you have a neighbor on many of the lots,” says Williams. A tour of the available lots can be arranged by appointment.

The model home at 38 Hoop Pole Road represents a vision for what is possible in style and functionality for $599,900. The three-bedroom, 3,456-square-foot home is done in a nautical theme that includes features such as raised reverse beadboard soffit trimmed with mahogany over the kitchen’s center island that resembles a ship’s deck. The ample kitchen space flows into the open and airy great room that is anchored by a quarry stone fireplace accented with a yellow granite lintel. A nearby port hole-style window continues the nautical theme. The graceful curves of an eyebrow window set in the vaulted ceiling mimic an antique ship stern and the long second-floor railing overlooking the great room gives the impression of a riverboat’s upper deck.
The first-floor master suite takes advantage of a southern exposure with light, bright marble tiles lining the master bath floor and a shower that features a built-in seat. The kitchen comes outfitted with a five-burner Cafe series gas double oven in stainless steel finish and a full set of matching General Electric brand appliances.
The nautical theme in the model home relates well to Chester’s history and connection to the Connecticut River. A number of marinas offer access to the river and views of its beautiful banks.
