Meet Frank, our slightly lopsided, quite grassy and very lumpy snowman.
He is tangible proof that snow days are all about good old-fashioned fun with the kids.
Once that phone rings and the unmistakeable, pre-recorded voice of the Superintendent is heard, many of us parents have no choice but to toss everything else aside and grab our parkas.
I love to slow down on these unexpected free days...let the boys stay in their jammies...and do all of the fun things we don't have time to accomplish during the frenetic weeks.
So far, we....
*Spread arts & crafts materials all over the kitchen floor and created an awesome Valentine's Day mailbox for Sam's upcoming 3rd grade celebration....
*Played "Legos Meet Trashies"....
*Finished reading "Farmer Boy" by Laura Ingalls Wilder....
*Made pizzas from scratch...
*And, played in the blizzard like crazy.
