After some exhaustive research, the results of a sampling of the Limited Edition Candy Corn Flavor Creme (what, are we in France?) Oreos are in:
Despite the fact that these things were scarfed down while the school bus fumes still lingered at the end of the driveway, my boys are now saying they were underwhelmed by the new cookies.
After initially calling them “awesome,” and saying that “they really tasted like candy corn,” the fifth grader changed his opinion, and said they’d be better if the vanilla cookie part was chocolate instead.
“I didn’t like them,” said the seventh grader. “The Oreo company has failed me.”
All of those surveyed agreed that in the future, they’d prefer to stick with the original.
Nobody asked my opinion, but the one cookie I managed to snag during the feeding frenzy was fine. Not being a lover of the packaged cookie, I’m the wrong person to ask. I prefer my cookies unbaked, straight from the mixing bowl.
I provide this photo for the amusement of those who don’t know the feeling of spending $200 on groceries that last three days (parents of girls, perhaps.)This is what a package of mediocre cookies looks like in a house overrun with hungry boys.
