Operation Gut & Pump

Operation Gut & Pump (Deep River Fire Department / December 12, 2012)

More than 600 members of the New York Fire Department were devastated by Hurricane Sandy.  Many of them lost their homes, clothes and mementos during the super storm.  Firefighters from Deep River have been down in Breezy Point for the last few weeks, contributing to a massive clean-up effort called Operation Gut & Pump and, now, another local department is pitching in to lend a hand to their comrades.  The Essex Fire Department is hosting a toy drive this weekend for the kids of these New York heroes who need help.
