Performances of the Newington Children's Theatre Company holiday production of "Babes In Toyland" kick-off Friday, December 6th.
Based on the popular operetta, the charming musical tale revolves around beloved Mother Goose characters.
"We have two casts of children, totalling fifty-four, from ten different towns," says Executive Artistic Director Claire Van Cott. "We have kids as young as five and as old as twelve."
NCTC, Connecticut's oldest children's theatre, aims to inspire creativity and appreciation for the arts while providing families with an affordable way to enjoy live entertainment.
"It's an excellent production, a great family play, you should definitely bring your friends," says one of the child actors, Emily McLean of Windsor. "It's really amazing."
Shows run from December 6th through the 15th on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at the NCTC Performing Arts Center on North Mountain Road in Newington.
