Adderall and the American Kid

It's easy to place blame on doctors and drug companies for tragic stories such as this one.

But think for a moment about our educational system's one-size-fits-all measures of achievement. Every kid has to be amazing, or else he's a failure. Every kid needs to learn in the same way: Seated quietly at a desk.

I certainly don't have the answer, but maybe it's time for us to start asking more questions and consider other alternatives to creating a generation of perfect, excellent, over-tested and overachieving kids.
