Video Monitor Recall (CPSC / April 23, 2014)

Summer Infant of Woonsocket, RI is recalling 800-thousand rechargeable batteries for video baby monitors due to a burn hazard.  There have been 22 reports of overheated and ruptured batteries which caused, in some cases, smoke and property damage.  The recall applies to more than a dozen models of the product.

The units, on shelves at Walmart, Target and BabiesRUs, were sold between 2010 and 2012
