Quite awhile ago, I clipped an article out of People Magazine because I was intrigued by one of it's features in the "Heroes Among Us" section. The story profiled the creator of a group called the Neighbor Brigade . When Pam Washek was fighting cancer, she was touched by the friends and neighbors who offered to drive her to treatments, cook a meal for her family or shuttle her kids to sports practice. She took this notion of "neighborly kindness" to a bigger level and started a volunteer organization which now has 3-thousand members who help families through difficult times with simple acts of kindness.

Bunk And Loft Beds Recalled After Injuries

Lea Industries is recalling these bunk and loft beds after twenty-two reports of incidents. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the bed's side mattress support rails can break and cause a fall hazard. Nearly 60-thousand of these beds have been sold in stores and on Amazon.com. Two injuries have been reported.
