Nautical meets Japanese at a beach house in Laguna

Andy Wolf ticks off his ingredients for the ultimate beach house -- a list that includes sunshine in every room, a casual place for dinner with friends and an outdoor shower, above. An attorney by profession and former president of the Pacific Design Center, Wolf got his chance to put latent design skills to work by remodeling a duplex at Victoria Beach in Laguna for himself and Carol Mendelsohn. "The area was beautiful but the house was an eyesore," says Mendelsohn, the show runner of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" and executive producer of "CSI: NY" and "CSI: Miami."
