The book written by Aberdeen's Pam Behan about the Kardashian family is now complete and available digitally and in book form.
The 227-page book is called “Malibu Nanny: Adventures of the Former Kardashian Nanny.”
It is available on Amazon.com in Kindle and paperback formats, as well as the Nook format on BarnesandNoble.com. The Kindle version is $9.99. The paperbook version is $14.95.
Behan, who grew up in Minnesota, now lives in Aberdeen with her 6-year-old son.
Behan wrote the book with Sara Christenson, a longtime friend who is also a Minnesotan. They formed their own publishing company called Minnesota Girls Press and self-published the book.
After taking care of Brandon and Brody Jenner for two-and-a-half years, Behan began her job as a nanny in April 1991, on the day Bruce Jenner and Kris Kardashian got married. Pam Behan was the nanny for Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Robert Kardashian for five years. At the time, the Kardashian children were 12 and younger.
According to publicity material, the book “gives readers insight into life as a Hollywood nanny, her encounters with celebrities (including dating Sylvester Stallone at the height of his ‘Rocky’ and ‘Rambo’ fame), the Jenner/Kardashian family's ups and downs, and her thoughts about their current fame and fortune.”
A few chapters of the book were offered free online in the summer. The sneak peak was viewed more than 7 million times, according to the release.
An audio version of “Malibu Nanny,” read by Behan, will be released late this month. In addition, a music CD of piano songs performed by Behan will be released soon. The CD was inspired by her time with the Jenners and Kardashians and includes some of their favorite songs, as well as music mentioned in the book, according to the release. The CD will be distributed through INgrooves Fontana.
