By Emily Christianson, Los Angeles Times When it comes to scream queens, Sissy Spacek tops them all. Not only did she garnish an Oscar nod for her role in the horror classic "Carrie" (no small feat), she went on to actually win an Academy Award just a few years later. The Texas native started her career in the 1970s just after high school when she moved to New York where her cousin Rip Torn was just getting established in the biz. Spacek launched a short-lived singing career before landing an uncredited role in Andy Warhol's 1970 film "Trash."
