Though he was only 11 when he earned a supporting actor Oscar nomination as the boy who sees dead people in 1999s The Sixth Sense, Osment was already a seasoned pro who had been working for five years in such films as Forrest Gump, in which he played the heros son, and as Avery, the son of Murphy Brown. Post-Oscar nomination, Osment starred in such films as Pay it Forward, Artificial Intelligence: A.I. for Steven Spielberg and Secondhand Lions. Hes also lent his voice to the video game series Kingdom Hearts and the Immortal Grand Prix anime TV series. In 2006, he made headlines when he broke his shoulder when his car struck a mailbox and overturned. He pleaded no contest to one count each of misdemeanor driving under the influence and possession of marijuana while driving. He was required to attend at least 26 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings over a six year period. Now 20 and a student at New York Universitys Tisch School of the Arts, Osment has also found time to continue working. His latest project is Montana Amazon, which he also executive produced.
