Ashley Tisdale

She played the villain Sharpay in "High School Musical," but in real life Ashley Tisdale has cast herself as a media mogul — complete with acting career, singing career and upcoming executive producing roles. Aside from starring in this fall’s “High School Musical 3,” Tisdale has plans to put out a second album on Hollywood Records and will voice a side character in the Disney Channel’s new animated show “Phineas and Fab.” She is also working with the Disney Channel as executive producer of an as-yet-untitled show based on her experience working in a mall. Beyond Disney, Tisdale stars in the teen thriller “They Came From Upstairs,” coming in 2009, and is in talks to play the lead in a remake of 1989’s “Teen Witch” for United Artists. She’s also negotiated a one-year first-look deal with FremantleMedia America (the company behind “American Idol”) to develop youth-themed reality shows. Report card sum-up: A-plus. Tisdale is set to graduate first in her class.Myung J. Chun / Los Angeles Times
