Alpine Meadows in Tahoe City: The "Learn to Ski & Ride Special" costs $49 for adults and children at least 8 years old. It includes a beginner lift ticket, equipment rental and a two-and-a-half hour lesson. Discounted lessons are offered Tuesdays through Thursdays only through the end of January. Homewood Mountain Ski Resort in Homewood: The resort's "Learn to Ski/Ride" offer costs $49 for adults and children 13 and older.
