Angels star outfielder Mike Trout left Sunday's game against the Houston Astros after five innings because of what the team said was tightness in his right hamstring.
Trout singled and doubled in his first two at-bats Sunday, then flied out in his third at-bat.
The outfielder is batting .333, second in the American League to Detroit Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera, who is batting .360.
Trout has reached base in 40 consecutive games. The club record is 63, set by Orlando Cabrera. The major league record is 84, by Ted Williams.
